Like the Roman playwright after which it is named, Plauto scans the past seeking ideas for the future. It does this by setting a single actor – wood – centre-stage, where it can perform in a whole repertoire of shapes: flat, curved, pointed... For connoisseurs, it's a production not to be missed; for us it's simply a tribute to a material we love. Then again, excellent raw materials and consolidated craftsmanship combined with simplicity will never fail to amaze.
